What is an Advocacy Team? It’s people committed to coordinate the Advocacy team sending church’s support and encouragement for their missionary. They are also the missionary’s reps/advocates to the congregation and give care to missionaries by looking after a variety of responsibilities.
Roles on an advocacy team would be filled by people who want to serve and use their spiritual gifts to:
lead the team
foster prayer
give encouragement and care
help with support raising if/when needed
keep up church/friend connections
take care of housing, transportation etc. during furlough
provide correspondence/communication assistance
represent the missionary to the sending church

Our first year was devoted to language and culture acquisition. Now we are part of a church plant, with a focus on reaching youth and compassionate ministry. i.e. youth work, sports ministry, prison ministry, music/radio ministry and discipling. We are committed to allowing God to open and close doors to ministry opportunities.

If you invest $1,000 or more with TEAM for the purpose of obtaining a Revocable Gift Agreement, this will be acknowledged by a formal signed agreement. TEAM will return the money to you in whole or in part upon your written request.

- Fill the form in completely with your contact information; details help us keep accurate records and contact information .
- Fill in the amount you would like to contribute monthly. Pick the date of transferring funds to TEAM, either the 10th or the 25th of each month.
- Read the agreement on the form, sign and date the form.
- For a checking account transfer, we need a voided blank check (not a deposit slip).
- Include form and bank document. Then mail to one of the addresses below depending on the receipt desired.
- Donors will receive a USA receipt: TEAM / PO Box 969 / Wheaton, IL 60187-0969
We will do a test run first with no dollars transferred. Your first automatic deduction will appear in about six weeks. You will receive a letter or email confirming that TEAM has enrolled you in this plan and the date of your first contribution. A record of each deduction will appear on your monthly bank statement. You will continue to receive a receipt from TEAM each month unless you request otherwise. You can discontinue your monthly deductions at any time by calling the TEAM Stewardship Ministries office.
Increases must be submitted in writing with a signed and dated request to do so.

Gifts of Financial SecuritiesGood stewardship includes wise planning. Wise planning allows people to give more to the Lord's work. Those who own securities and who want to make substantial gifts to any of TEAM’s ministries have a number of ways to help.
If you have securities with long-term capital gains, US tax law allows donors to give appreciated securities and deduct the full market value as a charitable contribution. TEAM can sell the securities without paying capital gains taxes.
For example, you own 100 shares of a growing corporation. You bought the shares at $15 per share many years ago. The market value is now about $62 per share. If you were to sell the shares, there would be a taxable capital gain of $47 per share, or $4,700. By giving the stock directly to TEAM, the donor can deduct the entire $6,200 as a charitable deduction.
If the securities are now worth less than you paid for them, the wise thing to do is sell the securities and give the cash. This allows you to claim the loss on your taxes and then to deduct the amount of the gift as a charitable deduction if you itemize.
Include your name, stock information and donor ID (if you have one) as well as the designation of the gift so that your stock contribution can be processed correctly.
